The creative mother-daughter duo behind Almond Hill House, Kay and Becky, embarked on an exciting new adventure on the last day of September 2024 to Southern Spain.
Kay, a retired artist from near Stratford-upon-Avon, enjoys making the house and garden a welcoming and cozy home. Becky, who has lived in Amsterdam for almost 20 years working as a Graphic Designer, brings her passions and interests to their new venture.
Together, they have revitalised Almond Hill House to create a magical place they are delighted to call home. They look forward to welcoming both holiday guests and retreat groups, and are always available for questions or booking inquiries.
Water is a precious resource and guests are kindly asked to conserve it by not leaving taps running, taking shorter showers and only using the dishwasher and washing machine when they are full.
The property has delicious drinking water straight from the tap, so there is no need to buy bottled water.

Recycling is encouraged, with separate bins provided in the kitchen for plastic, tins, glass and paper.
The owners have reduced their usage of plastic by not using bin liners in the bathrooms. They also provide many containers for the fridge, eliminating the need to use cling film to cover food.
At Almond Hill House, sustainability is a priority. The owners are committed to reducing their environmental impact and promoting eco-friendly practices.
We aim to provide a luxurious yet simple experience that respects fauna and flora and the historic 200 year old cortijo with a peaceful and homely immersion into a rural Southern Spanish lifestyle.
Almond Hill House avoids using damaging chemicals and opts for eco-friendly products whenever possible, like steam-cleaning the floors to sanitise them.
Our soft and fluffy bathroom towels are made from sustainable bamboo.
We nurture the land at Almond Hill House using only natural products. While the olives are not yet organically certified, we grow them with organic principles in mind.
The olives are handpicked and taken to La Flor de la Alpujarra. They support local and independent producers, as well as, championing milling organic and sustainable olives.
